Rice is a kind of corn. We get rice from paddy. Paddy is a kind of grassy plant. It grows three or four feet high. Then the ears of paddy come out. Paddy grows all year-round. Paddy grows in many countries. There are four kinds of paddy. They are Aus, Aman, Boro and Irri. Rice is our staple food. Many people of the world live on rice. We eat rice with curry. Muri, Chira, Khai and other sweet things are made of rice.
