Winter in West Bengal paragraph

[Position of winter in the cycle of seasons; the season of varieties of fruits and vegetables-festivals like Christmas, Saraswati Puja etc. Very pleasant for the rich but not so pleasant for the poor, H.S. candidates do not have much time to enjoy this season.)

Among the six seasons of West Bengal, the position of winter consisting of Pouse and Magh is the fifth in the cycle of seasons. This is the most favourite season to the farmers and the rich as the farmers can harvest paddy, the staple food of the year and the rich can enjoy varieties of fruits and vegetables and warm clothes. In winter, days are smaller than nights. The north wind blows and the temperature severely falls. Rising through the foggy weather in the misty morning the sun appears to be the most comfortable one. Markets overflow with varieties of fruits like oranges, apples, grapes, pomegranates etc. and with vegetables like cauliflowers, cabbages, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and many other kitchen vegetables. Nature smiles with varieties of charming flowers with a sweet smell and scenic beauty.

Winter is the season of joy for all in West Bengal as different types of people can enjoy heartily the different types of festivals. Nabanna is a great festival for farmers. The 25th December, the Christmas day is the greatest festival to the Christians. Saraswati, the goddess of learning, is worshipped by the students at schools and colleges and almost at every house on the Sri Panchami. Pauseparvan is a delightful festival to all and sundry.  of the Bengalees. Picnic parties are found moving out to and fro for their selected spots. This is the most favourable season for the game of cricket.

Winter is very pleasant for the rich as they can enjoy every item of the seasonal affairs according to their financial capacity but it appears to be dreadful to the poor as they cannot afford warm clothes for their children as well as for themselves. They are to light a fire and sit around it to keep them warm. So winter seems to be a curse to the poor in spite of having the food-stuff at a cheaper rate. H.S. candidates cannot enjoy this charming season as they have to prepare themselves for the Test Examination and have to appear at the Final Examination after two months. However, winter is the season of merriment.
