Rabindranath
Tagore was a great poet and a literary genius. He came of the great Tagore
family of Jorashanko on 6th may, 1861. His father Debendronath
Tagore and mother Sarada Devi. He wrote many poems, short stories, novels,
plays and immortal songs. In 1901, he set up shantiniketan and Biswabharati,
the world famous centre of learning. He won the great Novel prize for ‘Geetanjali’
in 1993. The great poet breathe his last in 1941.
